The city project and the private connection

The city’s Utilities Extension Project establishes utility infrastructure and provides project-specific connection information. Work on an individual property must follow the current instructions and the approved scope. A nearby project or an old notice does not establish the current requirements for your parcel.

Use the official connection guidance and contact the city if the notice, available connection point or account setup is unclear. Do not rely on a contractor webpage for an exact deadline or current assessment.

Compare the complete scope

ScopeQuestion for the proposal
Potable waterWhere does the connection begin and end, and what existing piping is affected?
Sewer tie-inWhich route and connection point are included?
Existing systemsWhat must be disconnected, retained or handled by another qualified contractor?
Permits and inspectionsWho obtains approvals and arranges required inspections?
TrenchingWhat access, locating and underground-condition assumptions apply?
RestorationWhich surfaces are restored, by whom and to what extent?

Keep different water systems distinct

Potable supply and irrigation or reclaimed-water systems must not be treated as interchangeable. Have the responsible professionals identify the existing arrangement and the approved connection plan. Do not improvise cross-connections or rely on pipe color alone to establish suitability.

If the source changes from well water to utility water, review existing treatment and pressure equipment as part of planning. Some equipment may need a different role or operating plan.

Superior’s scope for this resource

The services described here focus on potable-water connections and sewer line tap or tie-in work. Superior does not offer UEP effluent or grinder-pump service through this resource.

Ask for the final permit and inspection information, the completed work record and any remaining obligations. A completed plumbing scope does not automatically settle every utility account, assessment or separate contractor responsibility.

Common questions

Confirm availability and the applicable instructions directly with the city for your property.
