Separate location from cause
A single fixture suggests a different starting point from multiple fixtures that react to one another. A shared downstream restriction, building sewer problem or septic-system issue can affect more than one drain. These patterns narrow the investigation but do not confirm the cause.
Ask what the clearing actually achieved
Document where the obstruction was encountered, what was removed, which parts of the line were accessed and whether flow was tested. Wipes, roots, deposits and structural issues require different explanations. A line that drains today can still have a condition worth documenting.
What a camera should document
A useful inspection records access point, direction, approximate distance, material, visibility limits and relevant observations. Debris and standing water may obscure defects. Ask for the recording and written findings, and distinguish an observed defect from a proposed repair.
When to stop using water
If sewage is returning into the home, stop using affected plumbing and keep people and pets away. Do not remove cleanout caps, enter tanks or mix drain chemicals. Contact qualified help and the appropriate utility or septic professional when the downstream system may be involved.
